This all began when dl Salo met Michael Haertlein working on a film. dl Salo composed the score for an emotionally complex documentary directed by Michael Haertlein, Mad Tiger. Cowboy Cinema is the musical collaboration between the two that blends intimate songwriting with dreamlike textures to create a unique sound that is both familiar and surreal. 

Cowboy Cinema brings together evocative imagery with narrative arrangements. Haertlein's decades of experiences within the world of documentary film combined with dl Salo's diverse range of musical projects integrated with dance, gaming, and installation art blend seamlessly into music that becomes the movie.
