"An art that no one can understand the same: The ritual performance "Frail Affinities" of Saint Genet group from Seattle is a special event of the recently opened donaufestival in Krems" "So the question is: do we cease, after a certain limit, to be human? And then what are we? Realistic representation to approach these issues is not in. Although Derrick Ryan Claude Mitchell's production is therefore mainly derived from the events in the settlement movement- suffering, weakness, freezing, dying, and dehumanization - they are modulated by music and light motor acts. From the start, the performers pieces of skin begin to dissolve; a solid artificial skin that is increasingly fragile" "Mitchell and his group Saint Genet use any commercial theater codes. Frail Affinities is a deep hole without any intrusive fit, a sensitive hybrid of opera, ritual and performance, telling along painful images from the erosion of the human: people wearing people; they go under the load to the ground; they lie down toward a pile of corpses, dissolve again." "There is no redemption." -Der Standard dataclip.mmo.at/v3/clippings/pool/2016/05/02/MMO_NOE_Festival_St_20160502_14_06314621365441966100...
